Our Story

Ted Bressoud

Dana said, “Will you design my wedding cake?" I was trained as an architect but in addition to buildings I have designed furniture, printed material, gardens and who knows what else. So when Dana asked, I thought it was a really cool idea. Especially with such a vested interest in my best friend's wedding cake. What an honor! After the wedding Dana reused the cake topper as a votive holder, and she saw the future.

We collaborate so well together that I was not surprised that we didn't have to be in the same room to meld ideas. I was amazed at how right this felt. I love what we are doing. I am kind of a romantic, mushy guy, and I have a fantasy of Bliss for the weddings of each of our pieces. I hope that on your wedding day a part of my bliss is with you!

As I was planning my wedding, the idea for Welded Bliss emerged. I am a professional working metal artist specializing in custom designed furniture and fixtures for the home and office along with large scale outdoor sculpture. Ted and I have worked on a lot of projects together in the past and this seemed like the perfect “project” to work on together. Since he was also my maid of honor, he really had no choice but to collaborate with me!

After the great responses from my wedding and requests from friends to design their wedding accessories, we realized that there was a huge niche to be filled. Thus Welded Bliss was born. Hope you enjoy!
